You Create Your Vault
You start by generating a seed phrase — your private master key.
- No email. No phone number. No personal information.
- This seed phrase encrypts everything you store inside DecVault.
- We never see it. We never store it. It never leaves your device.

Your Data Is Encrypted Locally
Any password, file, or identifier you save goes through client-side encryption:
- Encrypted on your device
- Before upload
- Before sync
- Before anything touches the network
DecVault follows a zero-knowledge, zero-trust model — even we cannot access your unencrypted data.

Your Encrypted Data Is Stored Decentrally
After encryption, your data is stored across the Sia decentralized storage network.
What this means:
- Files are split into pieces, distributed across many independent nodes
- No company or server holds your data
- No single point of failure
- No third party can read or tamper with your vault
You can also connect your own self-hosted Sia node for full autonomy.

Your Vault Syncs Securely Across All Devices
Your encrypted data syncs to:
Mobile app (iOS & Android)
Desktop app (macOS & Windows)
Browser extension (Chrome & Firefox)
Sync happens only with encrypted data. Your keys never leave your device.

Your seed phrase = your ownership.
- DecVault cannot access, reset, or recover your vault.
